The historical Savoy residence, built by King Carlo Alberto in one of the loveliest areas of the Langhe Hills, has been transformed into a modern polyfunctional centre sponsored by the Piemonte Region. The Regia Agenzia complex will house an enogastronomic institute (Università di Scienze Gastronomiche - www.unisg.it), a Hôtel de Charme, a hotel-management school, and a series of collateral services. It will also become an important cultural site along the touristic route linking the Royal Savoy Residences. In 2002 Ceresa Energy & Facility won a contract with the Agenzia administrators to engineer and install all the plant and infrastructure needed to complete the restoration and functional recuperation project: • heating and air-conditioning plants; • fire prevention systems; • electrical plant; • mechanical plant; • swimming pool plant; • depuration plant for surface water; • centralised plant control system; • building, structural and safety works.
