Ceresa
Energy & Facility has renewed its image. The new trademark, created
by De Silva Associates, has kept the distinctive features of the historical
"shield with the sun in the centre", integrating it with visual symbols
of 1990s technological developments and the company's new mission:
diversification and a strategic orientation to facility management
and integrated services for buildings.
Objectives
The task assigned to De Silva Associati was to modernise the previous
trademark and logotype to reflect Ceresa's present core business and
anticipate future strategies.
The design
The design process began with a careful analysis of Ceresa's earlier
trademarks, followed by a selection of images that would communicate
the new business reality alongside tradition: a visual identity to
represent Ceresa in every moment of communication – institutional,
promotional, advertising – and at the same time an expression
of universal symbols unrelated to specific services or products.
The shield and sun
The bordered shield containing the sun with the letter C
in the centre – the initial of Ceresa in the previous trademark
– was replaced by a less stylised and more heraldic shield,
keeping the original sun, symbol of energy but also of clean energy,
respect for the environment, and life force.
The pentadodecahedron
The letter C was eliminated from the sun. In its place
is a pentadodecahedron – a red solid representing a geodesic
architectural structure – symbol of facility but
also of nucleus, essence, origin.
The logotype
The trademark is completed by a new logotype for the name Ceresa
– specially designed – and the words Energy & Facility,
representing the company's areas of activity.
